As the year draws to a close and the festive season begins, the team at Smart Strata — together with our foundation partners Archers the Strata Professionals, Strata Compliance Solutions and MAI Strata — would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and thank you for being part of our community throughout 2025.

In this final update for the year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what’s been a busy and rewarding 2025, share some highlights from across the strata industry, and look ahead to what’s coming up in 2026. We’ve also included some handy information about our upcoming May | June 2026 seminars, as well as office closure details, online access, and support options over the holiday period.

A Look Back at 2025

Like many across the industry, we kicked off 2025 with plenty of momentum after a few fast‑paced years. As the months have rolled on, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the level of engagement, discussion, and learning continue to grow across the strata community.

Throughout the year, Smart Strata hosted 11 seminars across Queensland, welcoming registrations of more than 900 owners and committee members. These sessions gave us the chance to connect face‑to‑face, share practical insights, and unpack some of the real challenges facing strata communities. Our focus areas in 2025 centred around some of the most common — and often complex — issues we see in strata living, including:

• Committee Membership and By-law Lifecycles, with practical guidance on committee nominations, governance responsibilities, enforcement challenges, and real‑world scenarios.
• Maintenance and Improvement Obligations, helping to clarify responsibilities around common property, lot boundaries, exclusive use areas, and who is responsible for what.

Alongside our seminars, we shared 53 Smart Strata Updates, viewed 1,137,024 times and featuring 138 articles. Our subscriber community has now grown to 60,000 members, and we’ve also welcomed many new Strata Industry Suppliers from across Queensland.

Looking Ahead to 2026

We’re already looking forward to what’s ahead. In 2026, Smart Strata will deliver two seminar series, along with a strong lineup of timely and practical content designed to support owners, committees, and industry professionals.

Dates and venues for our May | June 2026 seminar series have now been released, so be sure to save the dates. The seminar topic will be announced early in the new year — we can’t wait to share more details with you soon.
