Best Practice Guide for Roadmap Stage 1
May 15, 2020
Queensland Health released the latest Non-essential business, activity and undertaking Closure Direction (No.9) on 8th May and following the Premier’s announcement of the Stage 1 easing of restrictions, we are awaiting the details of the restrictions. However, as of 13 May 2020, SCA (Qld) has released a guide to make recommendations on the best practice based on current government publications. Note that the easing of restrictions is from 15 May at 11:59pm, which in practice means 16 May 2020.
Also from the 8th May, the revised Home Confinement Direction (No.4) came into effect which relaxed rules around visitors and reopened some grades in schools.
We expect the COVID-19 related regulations that will allow electronic attendance at meetings to be passed in the near future. The COVID-19 Emergency Response Act has empowered the Attorney-General to put in place measures that allow electronic attendance, however, they have not yet been released.
