David’s experience working across a wide range of building types allows him to translate technical detail into practical guidance, helping attendees better understand the risks, responsibilities and decisions involved in managing major works.

About David Gee

David Gee is a licensed commercial builder in Queensland and New South Wales with over 16 years’ experience across residential, education, health, aviation and hospitality projects.

As Principal Building Consultant at Resolute Building Consulting, David specialises in building defects, waterproofing and fire safety. He is passionate about helping strata owners and Body Corporates cut through complexity- providing clear, practical advice on building performance, compliance and remediation.

David currently works proactively with major builders and developers to reduce defects through better design, easing the burden on Body Corporates before problems arise. He is an accredited QBCC third-party inspector, a regular expert witness in the Supreme Court, and lectures at Bond University – bringing real-world experience to lift standards across the industry.

Maintenance & Major Projects: the who, what, when, why and how
